​Rosemary was considered sacred by the ancient Romans and Greeks and is known as one of the most powerful herbs in the world. It has been used in folk medicine for thousands of years to improve memory, stimulate mental activity, treat digestive problems and relieve pain.

AROMA: Green, sharp, woody, earthy

How to use:

Diffuse: Use 2 - 4 drops of rosemary in an aromatherapy diffuser of your choice
Topical: Dilute 1 - 2 drops in carrier oil of your choice and gently rub into desired area

Internally: Dilute 1 drop in a glass of liquid

Massage: Mix 5 - 10 drops with 50ml base oil until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.

Cosmetics: Add essential oil not more than 0.3% to the finished product, stir with a plastic or wooden stirrer until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.

Tips for use:

  • Diffuse a few drops of rosemary in an aromatherapy diffuser or alternatively soak a piece of cotton and hold it in front of you.

  • For mental clarity - dilute 2-3 drops of rosemary in a carrier oil of your choice and gently rub the mixture on the neck and shoulders.

  • For relaxation - combine with another soothing essential oil such as lavender, ylang-ylang, bergamot or patchouli.

  • For inflammation - rub the problem area regularly with 2-3 drops of rosemary diluted in a base oil of your choice.

  • For a general pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory effect - diffuse a few drops of rosemary with an aromatherapy diffuser for 10 minutes, 3 times a day.

  • For digestion - dilute 3-5 drops of rosemary in a carrier oil of your choice such as coconut oil or olive oil and gently rub the mixture on the abdomen.

  • Against hair loss - dilute 3-5 drops of rosemary in a base oil beneficial for the hair, such as Tamanu or Macadamia and massage the mixture on the scalp twice a day, preferably after bathing or rinsing the hair.

  • For pest control - combine 30-40 drops of rosemary essential oil and 45ml of water in a small 50ml spray bottle. Shake well and use as a mosquito and pest spray.

In a mosquito study, a 12.5% solution of rosemary oil repelled 100% of mosquitoes within 90 minutes! In another anti-tick study, a 10% solution of rosemary showed the same tick-repelling effectiveness as biferentrin, a synthetic and carcinogenic insecticide commonly used against ticks.
