Considered sacred in Ancient Rome, salvia ("salvation" in Latin) has a thousand-year history in folk medicine around the world. Traditionally used for relaxation, skin beautification, weight loss, better memory and ritual cleansing.

How to use:

Diffuse: Use 2 - 4 drops of rosemary in an aromatherapy diffuser of your choice
Topical: Dilute 1 - 2 drops in carrier oil of your choice and gently rub into desired area

Internally: Dilute 1 drop in a glass of liquid

Massage: Mix 5 - 10 drops with 50ml base oil until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.

Cosmetics: Add essential oil not more than 0.3% to the finished product, stir with a plastic or wooden stirrer until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.

Sage (Salvia) is an evergreen shrub of the mint family and originates from the Mediterranean. It has been used as a spice and medicinal herb in traditional medicine in Europe, India and China for thousands of years.

Tips for use:

  • Diffuse 2 - 3 drops of sage in an aromatherapy diffuser or alternatively place 2 drops on a cotton pad for direct inhalation

  • For better digestion, blood sugar, cholesterol and obesity issues - add 1 drop of sage oil to a drink of your choice

  • For menopause and colic, rub the painful area with 1 - 2 drops of sage diluted in a carrier oil of your choice.

A 2011 study confirms another long-standing use of sage, namely its benefits against menopausal symptoms. According to 71 study participants, severe menopausal symptoms disappeared completely with daily intake of sage leaf in tablet form.
